The Position

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of duties to assist a district manager or supervisor in performing delegated administrative tasks, assignments and projects.

Major Responsibilities EXAMPLE OF DUTIES


  • Conduct various studies of personnel utilization, training needs, and others as assigned.
  • Prepare correspondence, bulletins, manuals, handbooks and other materials.
  • Conduct special projects including budgetary studies and prepare analytical or financial reports and recommendation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and related documents.
  • Confer with district managers/supervisors and staff regarding budget requests and problems.
  • Arrange for the acquisition of supplies material, and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications


  • English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Report writing techniques.
  • Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Basic research methods.
  • Statistical and financial record-keeping techniques.
  • Organizational and analytical ability.

    Skills and Abilities:

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Analyze financial data and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Conduct studies and research as assigned.

    Training and Experience:

  • Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration or closely related field.

  • Desired Qualifications


  • Valid California driver’s license.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Category III (typically SEDENTARY in nature), usually minimum.
